Karzai Strongly Condemns Public Execution of Afghan Woman
Afghan President Hamid Karzai strongly condemned on Monday the apparent public execution of a young woman by the Taliban, according to Afghan officials.
Mr. Karzai called the act -- shown on a video first reported by Reuters news agency that has been posted on YouTube and played on cable television networks -- in the northern province of Parwan a "heinous and unforgivable crime," and he ordered authorities to do everything possible to arrest and punish those responsible.
